1. What do you think the statement ‘completely cleared him out’ means?

I think that 'compleatly cleard out'that his shop had nothing left to sell.

2. Why did Bryce give the elderly people loaves of bread for free?

Bryce gave other people in need the bread because he had some left over and it would have gone stale.

3. Do you think this is an act of kindness? Why/ why not?

I think this is an act of kindness because all the other bakers wouldn't of given it and the elderly would have starved.

4. Why did Bryce see it as his right to give away bread to the needy?

I think bryce saw it as a right because there is no law or rule agianst it and he was allowed to do it.
